Go to your sidebar click on Add gadget

A popup box will open search and locate Popular post do you see it? If found

Click on it configure it the way you want it to appear on your homepage

you can change the title to something like trending post

if you like you can show image thumbnail and snippet

Click on save

Reload your blog to view the change
